In-Home Design Consultation
We can help you with whatever your design needs are, assist in determining what service best suits your project, or it can be a working design session. We will spend up to two (2) hours in your home where we walk the spaces you need help with and discuss your pain points. Using our designer eye and expertise, we’ll provide valuable ideas and recommendations onsite that will help address your pain points. A PDF Summary of Recommendations will also be provided for your reference.

Full Service Interior Design

Does your entire home need a facelift from top to bottom? This is where Shades of Gray Design Studio plans and manages your project from start to finish. We are hired for an elevated design experience where all of the planning, research, selection, sourcing of products and all of the details in between are taken care of. This is a perfect fit for you if you don't want (or don't have the time) to manage your whole home design project and prefer to trust the designer and their process.
Client’s who work with us for this elite full service understand and appreciate that we are taking care of every detail. We order only from our trusted trade suppliers. There is no piecemeal for these projects, we are all committed and happily “joined at the hip” until the end of the project!
Full Service Design includes:
- Space planning/floor plan layout
- Custom design & in-person presentation of your beautifully curated space using photorealistic 3D renderings, 720p walk-through, and HD video
- Sourcing & coordinating of materials
- Sourcing of furniture, furnishings, lighting, plumbing fixtures & appliances through our trusted trade vendors
- Creation of bespoke furniture pieces designed to suit your unique taste and personal style
- Ordering & tracking items, arranging deliveries, final installation & styling for the big reveal!
- Exclusive access to interior design resources not available to the general public
*Design fee is a flat fee and is separate from the cost of furniture, furnishings, and labor.
Investment: Custom Quoted ($7,500 minimum design fee)
**Smaller spaces such as an entry way or mudroom may be less and determination will be made upon assessment of the space.
Designer for a Day

We make choosing finishes simple and easy.
Whether you're not sure where to start, or just need a helping hand to finalize decisions on your materials, Designer for a Day is the fast track to getting the space of your dreams! We understand how frustrating and overwhelming it can be when trying to decide on the perfect finish or fixture for your home project. This is also the perfect option if you’re building a new home and need assistance making selections at the builder’s design center. No need to stress because Shades of Gray Design Studio is here to help!
Designer for a Day is a 6-hour day of one-on-one design guidance. The day can be split into two half-days if needed. We'll meet at a local retailer or showroom, ready to help you make decisions.
Some of the things we can assist you with in your project may include, but are not limited to:
- Flooring options
- Floor or wall tiles
- Backsplash & grout recommendations
- Countertops & profile selections
- Cabinetry finish/color/style & hardware choices
- Lighting
- Paint colors for walls, ceiling & trim

Designer By Your Side

What if you don't need full service interior design or project management, but still need a professional by your side when you need it most? Then Designer by Your Side is absolutely the answer. You can use this time any way you want up to 20 hours! In other words, a set amount of hours over a set amount of time for anything related to your design needs.
This is the perfect option if you want to purchase strictly retail. Do you need help shopping for the perfect sofa or accent chair? Perhaps you know what you like for your guest bedroom but need a little help pulling it all together. Whatever design help you need, we've got you covered for up to 20 hours.
Designer By Your Side may include assistance with:
- Floor plans & layout ideas
- Guidance for kitchen & bath design
- Sourcing & selection of finishes & furnishings
- Ordering samples for presentation purposes
- Specifying paint colors
- In person & phone conversations, texts & emails
